Answer

God sees the potential for greatness and holiness within all humans. He loves us despite the fact that we are all sinners and we are all unworthy.

We were created in His image and were created originally to be only great and holy. As almost all parents, He loves us, His children, even though we are wayward, and many times hurt Him by our choices.

    Answer 2:

God made man in His image to one day, at the conclusion of His plan, be “born into His Family; to become the God Family.”

“He that overcometh [sin, through Jesus Christ] shall inherit all things [the universe]; and I will be his God, and he shall be My Son.” (Rev.21:7)

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God: and if Children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ… that we may be also Glorified TOGETHER.” (Rom.8:16-17)

With God providing mankind with His Power through Jesus Christ to become “His Sons“… you can’t get Greater or Holier than that.

It also depends on which god you are referring to. Different people have different gods, not all have the same aims or desires
