Top 100 Arts and Culture Museum Ranking

I am looking for the most current ranking of the top 100 museums in

the US or a global ranking would also be fine. This ranking should be

for art or cultural institutions not childrens museums, botanical

gardens etc…

Sorry, if the data is only 75 I'm not sure if I can draw any useable

insights from it. I'm just not sure how useful it would be but will

accept guidence for the crowd. If you had the data ranked by any

dollar amount that would be fine even if it was only top 75.

I am sorry smellow-ga I spent long searching hours but I could not

find the information to compile the list you requested.

The closest thing I found is a pubblication I could point you to that

claims contains the latest, most comprehensive financial and

operational data from America's museums. I claims contains numbers on

attendance, operating and non-operating income and expenses, earned

income sources, and costs of collections care etc. Data are coming

from a survey of 800 museums of all types.

Let me know if you are interested in this as an answer.

  1. Hello smellow-ga

I am having troubles too as a researcher to check which questions have

been modified/clarified/commented etc … I was told that the

engineers at Google are aware of the problem and looking to solve it.

Anyway you can purchase the publication I mentioned from the American

Association of Museums, the link for the purchase is below

    http://www.aam-us.org/bookstore/detail.cfm?id=495

If you have any more follow up to this question just post a request of

clarification and I will be happy to clarify
